Hi.

Ignition pin on my car is on pin 8 on my car. Can the FB001 be configured to support this ?

Hello.

No, on FMB001 -> DIN is @ pin1, and hardware does not have a switch to change this to other pins.

Based on pinout, pin8 is not in use.

I Guess is could mod the FMB001 and wire pin 1 to pin 8 and detect ignition ?

Yes, but if you do this the risk is on you. You better be sure pin8 @ your car is really for ignition and not something else.

In case it is and if you connect pin1 from fmb device side to pin8 id recommend disconnecting the original pin1 from being connected to the vehicle.

Ie not to short vehicle pin1 and pin8.
