in Vehicle tracking by anonymous
Hello, We are using a bunch of the FM3001s which work great for our vehicle tracking. Right now, I see it transmits a cell signal level as a 1-5 value. I was curious if there is any setting or possibility of it being able to send in the actual RSSI value (-70, etc), and what frequency it's connected to? I looked through all of the settings, and don't see anywhere I could set this. The device we used before reported the RSSI value, which was useful for us. The frequency would be nice, but, isn't as important if that's possible.

Thanks.

I think you can map signal level values (1-5) to RSSI based on listed provided here: https://wiki.teltonika.lt/view/RSSI

Thanks for the reply, I'm familiar with the 1-5 values, but, for our purpose I would be looking for the actual RSSI value, and if possible the band (or frequency) it's conencted to. The 1 to 5 is too general and wide of a range. I know the modem would have the specific numbers, just not sure if there is any way if it coming through into the reporting. We had the RSSI in a platform we used previously, and this value was useful for us. I know it's not something most people would use, but, thought I would to see anyways if there was any way of getting it.
