I've configured my FMC 920 as below:

Deep sleep timeout: 1 min
Data acquisition parameters: On stop: minimum period: 21600(6hrs) send period: 21600sec
open link timeout in gprs setting: 300sec
Now the device; having full battery; enters the Deep sleep mode perfectly [ after 1 minute of ignition+movement off ] the external power is disconnected after some time(say 10 minutes).

However, I expect it to send message after 6hrs which it has not.
Kindly advise where I'm wrong?

Hello.

Device don't send any records because send period is 21600 seconds.

Send period defines, how often device will check if Min. Records condition is met to send records.

I suggest to set it to lower value, 1-2 minutes

The device now sends message while in deep sleep mode. However, the location-which i'm more concerned about- is not included in the message send by device while in deep sleep. What could be the possible reason?

According to device protocol, GPS coordinates are always sent, it is not possible to send record without coordinates:
