Hello

I have received this SMS from a FMB204 device and I never seen that before.

"file dl resp:OK"

What is this?

Thats a positive response to "file dl req:..." command.

Which is used to trigger file transfer procedure. I..e when server wants to send file to FMB device. For example configuration file or FW update file.

This command is used when performing file transfer via "teltonika fota pc software" for example.

Agreed.

I sometimes see a negative SMS response to those file transfer requests for FM2yx:

file dl resp:ERROR,12

and the device does not connect to the FOTA update server in this case.

How can I resolve this to finally start a remote firmware patch?

Hello.

Device does not have enough space to store FW update file on flash/sd card. Please delete some records, or any other files if you have some written on the SD card.

There should be ~5mb of free space. FW update takes less but just to be sure.
