Hi,

I am testing FMB920 device and after the configured time interval of 2 minutes, device enters ultra sleep mode.
When I am trying to wake up the device I realized that this is possible only with movement but NOT with ignition.

As stated at the description of the Sleep Modes, "FMB920 exits ultra deep sleep mode only when DIN1 or movement are detected by accelerometer. Movement source and Ignition source configuration is not taken into account in this case."
In my configuration though I have movement source= accelerometer and ignition source= DIN 1, but this should not matter!

I am wondering what is going wrong with this!
Same also happens with GPS sleep mode.

Thanks

Hi,

Kindly connect the DIN1 Wire (Yellow Cable on FMB920 device) to the Ignition Source of your vehicle so that you can disable any Sleep Mode configured on your device since when Ignition is activated, DIN1 will also be activated.

Hopes this answers your question.

Regards.

Hi Patrick_ and thanks for your answer.

This is exactly how I have connected it and actually it seems that it works but I could not verify it.
I also used FMBT app and I show that after turning on the ignition the device exits sleep mode.

Hi, thank you for your feedback.

You can confirm if it is working properly if the device exits the sleep mode when the ignition is on. Since device exits ultra deep sleep mode only when DIN1 or movement are detected by accelerometer thus DIN1 is read correctly.

Regards.
