Hello

How come the FMM001 cannot send CAN bus control messages like central locking? Isn't the ODB connector port on the same bus?

Hello.

In some vehicles CAN line used by CAN-CONTROL might be the same as an OBDII line, but FMM001 device doesn't have CAN module integrated (like FMB140) needed to send requests to vehicle's ECU.

Thanks, can an ODB cable be connected to the FMB140?

Hello.

It is not possible to connect to OBDII port with the cable with FMB140. Bluetooth OBD dongle can be used as described here:

Ah a shame, you should make a ODB-II tracker that has the CAN-CONTROL.
