Question

Hi All,

i do have an FMB140 tracking device among 10 other Teltonika devices. I wanted to upgrade the Firmware from "FMB140 03.25.16.Rev.410" to something with 3.27 frimware. how to accomplish this simple taks? At galileosky i just send an UPGRADE=0 ant the device does the rest. In Fota i have managed to upgrade for some FMT100 devices but not for the FMB140.

Thank you for you question.

We always recommend to check the firmware errata page for devices that need to be updated, to make sure that the newest firmware is selected.

To receive firmware files, updater and documentation on devices, please contact your sales manager. If you don't have any contacts with our Sale managers, please contact with them on our official website https://teltonika-gps.com/ and click on the "Contact Us" button. When you will click, please fill the form and submit it. Note: as a topic, please choose "Vehicle Telematics". Or you can send an e-mail with description of your situation to info@teltonika.lt

After the firmware file was obtained, in FotaWeb proceed to Files tab and press upload, and upload the Firmware.

After the Firmware was uploaded, return to Devices tab and select those devices that need to be updated, then click button create task, then select task type as - Update Firmware, then Enter the name of firmware you uploaded previously, after that click create.

Keep in mind that device connects periodically (as configured in configuration) to the FotaWeb, so this could take time, to force device to connect faster to FotaWeb SMS command - web_connect can be send to the devices that have pending tasks in FotaWeb.
