Hi, I have a FMU125, I was able to send and receive data using 485 and rs232 from the device to the server using Codec12 GPRS messages.

The device will have a external sensor that sends data periodically via RS232. I am able to get the data if the TCP tunnel is UP. The problem is that this sensor will send data on point where I know the GSM signal will be lost. I would like to know if the incoming data can be stored as AVL data, so it stays on the device until I its connected to the server again.

I did try to turn on message timestamp, I do see the the timestamp, but I do not get the queue of messages , just the one I sent when the tunnel is Up

Hello Andre,

Good day. Thank you for your question.

If you would like to collect the data and save it in the buffer then you may go with the RS-232 TCP Binary Buffered/TCP ASCII Buffered mode instead. If you enable the timestamp parameter then Codec 13 will be used for data sending, otherwise, it will be Codec 12. For more information please refer to our Wiki page - https://wiki.teltonika-gps.com/view/FMU125_RS-232_and_RS-485#RS-232_Interface

Kind regards.
