Following the Teltonika's DualCam webinar, it was made clear that the cameras start recording on the SD cards only when the ignition is ON.

I would like to configure the cameras to record continuously 24/7 just like a CCTV in order to cover events occurring while the engine is not running such as: when the vehicle is parked overnight or a courier parks and cuts the engine off to deliver a parcel etc.

It did cross my mind to try and set ignition detection by voltage and reduce the treshold below 12v so it is always ON, but this way will be getting false Idling events.

Would you please propose any viable solution or relevant FW having those features,

Many thanks,

Hristo

Hello Hristo,

Good day. Thank you for your question.

The DualCam was not made to work 24/7. Therefore, if you would like it to record continuously 24/7 then firmware changes will need to be made. Kindly contact your Sales Manager to acquire the firmware. If you don't have any contacts with our sales managers, please contact them on our official website https://teltonika-gps.com/ and click on the "Contact Us" button. When you will click, please fill the form and submit it.

Note: as a topic, please choose "Vehicle telematics" or you can send an e-mail with the description of your situation to info@teltonika.lt

However,

You may implement the following from your server for testing purpose:

1. Once the Ignition Off event is received, change Ignition Source so Ignition is always On with commands from the server

2. CAMERA then is always On

3. Once real Ignition is detected, change Ignition Source

Thank you for your understanding.

Kind regards.
