I'm trying to integrate a FMB640 in a system I have. The system consists in an anntena that reads RFID tags, then the value read is sent via two cables Tx and GND in RS232 format. I want to read this value with the FMB640 and send it to my server. The problem is how to integrate the FMB640, because it has the RS232 input, should I create a cable to be able to connect the two cables to this Rs232 input? Where do I receive this value once it is read? The data sending parameters ID file does not specify this.

Hello Andres,

Good day. Thank you for your question.

Please see the answers to your questions, below:

1) should I create a cable to be able to connect the two cables to this Rs232 input?

 - You will need to have an RJ45 cable in order for you to connect to the RS232 input. Please refer here for the connection diagram - https://wiki.teltonika-gps.com/view/FMB640_RS-232_and_RS-485

2) Where do I receive this value once it is read? The data sending parameters ID file does not specify this.

- If the RFID reader used is not supported then you can use TCP Binary/ASCII modes and receive data to the server in codec12. So if the If RFID HID or MF modes work then you will be able to see the values in I/O settings (see below).

Please go through this and let me know if it helps.

Kind regards.
