I'm not sure about the meaning of the data part field when parsing beacon records.

If there are too many beacons and the data does not fit in a single AVL packet, then I will get 2 packets. The first one will have data part = 12 and the second one will be 22. Is my understanding correct? Will both packets have the same timestamp?

What is the maximum number of bytes allowed in a variable size element?

Hello

Yes that is correct, firt part will have data part = 12 and the second one will be 22.

For example data part 25 – Second record out of 5 records (that means server can expect 3 more records with Event I/O ID 385).

For AVL 385 (Beacon) maximum size is 1024 bytes:
