Hi Folks

I don't think this is possible but is it something that can be added to the feature request list?

We have a use case that the FMB204 is almost perfect for, but just not quite. We need to be able to switch one of the dout connections on/off based on a temperature reading from either OneWire or a BLE beacon - ideally an average of two sensors so we can rule out any miss readings etc.

We have trialled doing it using some remote logic (sensor readings are sent to server, server sends back commands to switch on/off as needed) but while the FMB204 is quite reliable here it seems the UK mobile network isn't reliable enough and we miss commands etc regularly. It's just not reliable enough for what we need.

So an amazing feature of the FMB series would be for the ability to switch the output on/off based on the temperature reading (much like a thermostat).

I know we can do this with the TRB series but they don't have the same tracking control and ability that we also need for this application until you get to the TRB245 which is simply out of our price range for this one. On the Qty we need we can design and manufacture our own boards for the price we would pay for the qty of TRB245s we would need. But if something like the FMB204 could do the job it becomes much more attractive to place a large order with Teltonika.

Thanks

Nick

Hello.

Well that is an interesting Idea. You should contact Your sales manager and express this desire for a new feature and describe it like here.

So, please
contact your sales manager.
If you don't have any contacts with our Sale managers, please contact with them on our official
website https://teltonika-gps.com/
and click on the "Contact Us" button. When you will click, please fill the form and submit it.
Note: as a topic, please choose "Vehicle telematics".
Or you can send an e-mail with description of your situation to info@teltonika.lt

Best Regards
