Is the GPS model FMB010 compatible and will not create a problem with VOLVO XC90 2016 like draining the battery etc.?

Hello.

OBD devices do not have any compatibility list. As this is fairly simple model, that just plugs in via OBD port but is not capable to read OBD parameters.

You should not worry. Unless You leave Your vehicle unused for very long periods of time it should not discharge vehicle's battery.
