Thank you for your query,

You can check the status of the device using the SMS/GPRS commands.

Please use the format provided in the link:

<SMS login><space><SMS password><space><command><space><value>

To check the status of modem use the command "getstatus"

  • GPRS value determines if the device is connected to your mobile network: 0 - not connected, 1 - connected.
  • Datalink value describes if there is a connection to a server: 0 - not connected, 1 - connected.

To check the location of the device use the command "getgps"

This return longitude, latitude, altitude and other parameters.
