Would you mind specifying what kind of external device is used in your case?
FM63XY devices support RS232/RS485 modes:
- Silent Mode
- FM Log Mode
- LLS Mode
- LCD Mode
- RFID Mode
- RFID MF7 Mode
- Garmin Mode
- Carrier Mode
If you are using an external device that is not compatible with any of the modes to receive RS-485 data you can use TCP Link mode. In picture shown below:
When TCP link mode is selected all of the RAW data of your external device is sent directly to your server, data parsing should be sorted out on your end of the server.
