Hi,

Is it OK to mount a FMB204 with the cable gland facing the rear the vehicle - ie. with a 180 deg. rotation compared to the recommended mounting position diagram on the wiki's installation instructions ? Or would this prevent some functions (eg. crash detection) from working properly if one of the axis is inverted ?

The reason I'm asking is that my windshield is quite vertical and positioning the GPS antenna the closest to it (= with the cable gland backwards) should improve satellite reception.

Thanks !

Ivan

Hello,

You can choose how the device is deployed. It means that that there is no effect to measurements if top/bottom side points up or down.

For ECO driving to work properly, device connection pins socket must point towards the vehicles front side. Deviations of +/- 2o are allowed. But it should be as straight as possible.

Deviations of maximum +/- 15o are allowed.

Horizontal position must be as flat as possible – parallel with vehicle plain.
