Hello mates,

Is there any other possible way to get a Teltonika device out of sleep mode - to become active and get GPS update - without sending SMS to it?

Via TCP command or any other trigger?

Thank you!

Regards,

Ricardo

Hello,

Thank you for your question,

FMB devices enter/leave the sleep mode when the specific conditions are met:

The full description of sleep modes can be found in our wiki:

https://wiki.teltonika.lt/view/FMB120_Sleep_modes

There are no specific command to force device to leave sleep mode.

Depending on the modes, GSM module can be offline: Deep sleep/Ultra deep sleep, so the device will not respond to SMS/GPRS commands.

GSM module stays online in: GPS sleep mode/Online Deep sleep mode, device will respond to SMS/GPRS commands.

However, the devices will not leave the sleep modes until mentioned conditions are met. In your case you could try using GPRS command for "cpureset". The device would leave the sleep mode after reset, but will go back to sleep mode if all the conditions to enter the mode reached.

Hope this helps,

Regards.

cpureset would reset device, if it loses configuration, this would not do in my case for sure.

I have tried with other commands like getgps, getinfo, but if device is in any sleep mode, it does not accept those as GPRS module is switched off. So I am not able to get device out of sleep mode.

Problem is related to the fact, that for some test devices it takes 2 or 3 minutes to get out of sleeping mode and locate enough number of satellites. At the end it seems that object "flies" from it's initial position to the first successfully located GIS data point by the device. I want to minimize time to locate satellites.
