Hello,

We have FMB001 installed in a truck. The device is configured with our local service provider APN. That is:

APN: internet

APN username: <blank>

APN password: <blank>

Our local service provider (VodacomSA) has activated roaming on this sim card.

Roaming Operator List and Black List are empty.

The devise cannot send data via GPRS since Saturday. But it can accept and reply to commands via SMS and calls.

Please advise. Should the APN change ?

Regards.

HI there,

Please check your data Acquisition roaming settings

You can do this by SMS "  getparam 10100;10104;10105;10150;10154;10155"

Also contact Vodafone to confirm that your roaming is enabled .

Thanks

Hello

I have checked with them, roaming is active, that is why I am able to receive messages from the unit:

10100 - 600
10104 - 1

10105 - 1

10150 - 30

10154 - 1

10155 - 1

I have also done

setparam 5000:64501; 5001:65501; 5002:65202 updating my Roaming Operator List.

Below are roaming partners of Vodacom on the countries in question.

64501 is Celltel - Zambia
65202 is Orange - Botswana

65501 is Vodacom - my Home network.

I then reset. Still no GPRS.

APN settings on the device are that of Vodacom, my home network.

Even if Roaming for calls/SMS is active you have to active GPRS separately in order to have internet connection. . I'd suggest contact Vodafone them self and explain the situacion.
