Thank you for reaching out to us. 

DOUT meaning Digital Output. In the same way DIN meaning Digital Input. Digital Outpus are typically used to power LED lights, buzzers, relays, etc. You can check the number and common connection on this DOUTS on the Wiring Scheme of each device, in the "Downloads" section.

From the wiring diagram, I can see that DIN1 goes directly to the Ignition Detection component. Does that mean I can switch off the engine by controlling DIN1?

Hello,

If DIN1 is connected to the Ignition Wire, this is for detecting when the vehicle is powered on (DIN1 = 1 when the motor is powered ON; DIN1 = 0 when the motor is powered OFF). Take in mind that DIN1 is a Digital Input, so it is not possible to control it. 

To control the engine, please refer to the Immobilizer Scenario:
