Thanks. In our use case, FMC640 receives data from an external device over RS232 port, then send this data to our server via UDP. Is CMD ID 6 correct? 

Codec 12 protocol describes the establishing the link with a server using IMEI  and ACK. I guess that is only for TCP protocol. Will it also apply to UDP? What is the structure if it also apply to UDP?

Hello.

You can use RS232 data forwarding with UDP or TCP protocol.

CMD ID default value is 6, but you can configure it within range 1-6 and 11-14

Note! CMD ID set in device must be increased by 1 than the one that is sent from server. For example. If CMD ID in device is set ot 8, server should send codec 12 string with CMD ID 7.
