I connected it the same way I would with a ibutton and relay but there is no 12V output on the pin going to the started motor with or without the dongle in range? The FMB120 give me a 12V+ on the output when ignition is turned on but the FMB920 doesn't.

Any help will be appreciated.

Hello.

Yes, this feature is available from the firmware version 03.25.14

You schould configure your Beacon as "configured" and it schould be on the the Beacon List

Thank you.

The configuration looks correct.

Please disable ignition and put your Beacon as far so device could not see it, go to status -> I/O Info tab and check if Ignition=0 and Digital Output 1=0, then enable ignition source and verify if Ignition=1 and Digital Output=1. After that take your Beacon closer, so that device could find it and check if new tab: Beacon Info appeared and Digital Output changed to 0.

Morning Janusz

I did as you requested and it does what you said in your reply. I see the problem now, the output on the FMB920 is a negative trigger so if it's wired like Teltonika's diagram it doesn't switch the relay on to start the car when the beacon is close to the unit but the other way around. If I take the beacon away the relay switch and I get 12V positive on the wire going to the starter motor. Is there a way to get the FMB920 to trigger positive on the output when ignition is switched on?

Hello.

DOUT in each device is an open collector output, it is connected to the ground when DOUT=1

https://wiki.teltonika-gps.com/view/FMB120_First_Start

https://wiki.teltonika-gps.com/view/FMB920_First_Start

Please note, that connection to pins 86 and 87a schould be a positive signal (+12V) and when DOUT is not active (DOUT=0) pins 30 and 87a schould be connected in relay.

Hi Janusz

I think I found the problem. I think I have a faulty relay. I will get a new one later today and test again and let you know. Thanks so far for all your help.

Hi Janusz

My apologies for wasting your time with this, the problem was indeed a faulty relay. Thank you again for your patients and help.
