I'm trying to make a TLS encryption with FMC125 device with firmware 03.27.07.Rev.00

On the server side we have the most popular proxy server NGINX with simplest solution:

        ssl_certificate         /etc/ssl/certs/device-cert.pem;
        ssl_certificate_key     /etc/ssl/certs/device-private-key.key;
        ssl_protocols           TLSv1.2;

And unfortunately we are receiving error on the beginning:

 SSL_do_handshake() failed (SSL: error:14094412:SSL routines:ssl3_read_bytes:sslv3 alert bad certificate:SSL alert number 42) while SSL handshaking,

I want to admit that certificate was created with the instruction from teltonika website with openSSL.

Server site was tested with simple Java app thats opens socket with server using provided certificae, and its working correctly.

Is this firmware 03.27.07.Rev.00 working correctly with TLS ?

I have exactly the same problem with a FMC130. When enabling TLS, no connection is possible anymore altough right certificate is provided. Iam using Apache2 and SSL on website is working fine.

The certificate is valid and should be the right one.

Have you been able to solve the problem?

The firmware FW03.27.07.Rev.00 works with TLS encryption and the instructions can be found on our Wiki page - https://wiki.teltonika-gps.com/wikibase/images/f/f0/FMBXX_TLSDTLS_encryption_configuration_v0.2.pdf on how to send encrypted records using TLS encryption parameter.
