Good afternoon. Can you please tell me where the firmware is stored: in the MT2500 module or in the flash memory?

Sorry, but doubts are plaguing. Flash memory is not very stable. Is the same memory used to store intermediate data?

Thanks for the answer. It is a known fact that nand-flash behaves unstable in conditions of impulse and other interference. She breaks down. Even the new one has bad sectors. This is what has happened with older devices from other manufacturers. But there the flash was used to store variable data, and the firmware was in the controller. Technicians from one of the integrators assure that the firmware is stored in the MT2500 module. Is it possible to purchase MT2500 modules from dealers / distributors to recover faulty devices or is it better to contact you directly? thanks

So what is your answer to my question?

Thank you for keeping up the conversation concerning this topic. Turns out that Firmware is stored in external flash memory only when it is needed to update/download, then once tasks are done, FW is removed from external flash memory, hence stored in TM2500 module. Regarding your question about the module purchase availability I would recommend you to reach out to our sales manager.

Best regards.
