Is it possible to get vehicle data on demand (speed, kms, fuel level, etc) on RS232/RS485 interfaces by activating a digital input?

Also, is it possible to send data to server in the same conditions (activating a digital input)?

As far as I know, REC TO LCD can send data periodically to RS232/RS485 interface but not on demand.

Please clarify.

Hello,

Thank you for your question.

On-demand sending could be implemented by sending a command from the server to RS232 interface when an I/O element value changes (DIN1 in this case). Commands could be sent to RS232 interface using Codec12 protocol. For more info, please check this page https://wiki.teltonika-gps.com/view/Codec

You can read more about data sending over RS232/RS485 on our Wiki page. https://wiki.teltonika-gps.com/view/FMB640_RS-232_and_RS-485
