Hello Justin,

Good day. Thank you for your question.

Please elaborate on your question regarding pushing the GPS data into CANbus. Also, may I know what is the use case of this function is so we can advise you on the solution.

Kind regards.

Thanks for your message. This is for a transport company that has designed it's on Can Bus for a vehicle.

What we are trying to do is take the GPS from a Teltonika FMC640 and instead of them having an entirely new unit with GPS just for the Canbus they want to use our GPS string to use in the Canbus.

So they can then use it for applications that they need GPS for.

Dear Justin,

FMC640 can not send back any data to the CAN bus.

But it has an option in RS232 to send the records to external device. It's called Rec to LCD.

Device will send the record in ASCII format through RS232, this record has Lat & Lon Coordinates.

If you can use any RS232 to CAN bus converter which has an option to configure the ASCII values, you will get the GPS data in your CAN bus.

Thanks in advance,

Naveen
