Hello Miguel,
Good day. Thank you for your question.
Please refer here to the ways you can save on data consumption by adjusting the data acquisition - https://wiki.teltonika-gps.com/view/FMC130_Data_acquisition_settings
Additionally, transport protocols are important when considering data usage. You can choose between using UDP and TCP protocols. TCP will use more data but will provide more reliable communication. Thus data consumption really depends on the configuration of the device.
For TCP: To send 1 packet it takes 45 bytes of AVL data plus 342 bytes for transportation. So the total is 387 bytes per packet.
For UDP: To send 1 packet it takes 56 bytes of AVL data plus 23 bytes for transportation. So the total is 79 bytes per packet.
If you would like to receive a better calculation on this, please share your Configuration file with us via VIP Helpdesk or you can check with your Sales Manager/Distributor. If you don't have any contacts with our Sales Managers, please contact them on our official website https://teltonika-gps.com/ and click on the "Contact Us" button. When you will click, please fill the form and submit it.
Note: as a topic, please choose "Vehicle telematics" or you can send an e-mail with the description of your situation to info@teltonika.lt
Thank you for your understanding.
Kind regards.
