Hello,

I have a device that sends through 2 cables (Data and GND) a RS232 message, I want to be able to read that message with a FMB120, is that possible? I could also transform the RS232 message to TTL.

If not possible, could it be done with a FMB640?

Thanks in advance

Hello,

Thank you for your question.

Please clarify, the device you mention, is it 1-wire communication sensor?

If the device sends data via RS-232, then FMB120 is not suitable because RS-232 interface is not supported by FMB120.

It would be possible to use this sensor with FMB640 through RS232/RS485 with TCP Link mode if no requests have to be sent to sensor, however if the sensor requires for commands to be sent to receive data, it would either require more development from the server side or firmware development.

Please see the link below for more information:

The device sends through two wires: GND and Tx. The data is RS232 type , but we can transform it to TTL if that is something the FMB 120 or FMB 640 can understand.

The device does not need comands, it only sends data.

What device do you have for this situation?
