how to set one packet length in FMB125

Hello Barani,

Good day. Thank you for the question.

The packet length has been set with a limit and cannot be altered by specific settings from the configuration but it can be changed if you adjust the Data acquisition setting to generate records not as frequently so there would be not as many records to send if devices goes offline for a while.

Note: for FMB630FMB640 and FM63XY, minimum AVL packet size is 45 bytes (all IO elements disabled). Maximum AVL packet size is 255 bytes. For other devices, the minimum AVL packet size is 45 bytes (all IO elements disabled). Maximum AVL packet size is 1280 bytes.

Device packs as much data as it can in one packet and then sends it, so if you have many records generated it will take time to send them all to server as device can store big amounts of records in its flash memory.

For example:

Min Period 3600 (with minimum record size – 45bytes)

Min Saved Records 10 (10 x 45bytes = 450bytes)

Send Period 120

So, it will send records only after 36000 seconds (450 bytes)

However, if link with server is open, Min Saved Records parameter will be disregarded, and any generated records are sent immediately

Please let me know if this helps.

Best Regards
