Hello, I want to ask regarding the accuracy of speed reading. Is it exact the same as actual speed? And what percentage is the level of inaccuracy?

Ex: if the vehicle is at 42kph, does the GPS send the data the exact speed of vehicle or the data will be sent around 40 - 45kph?

The GPS that i'm using right now mostly is MTB100, FMB920, FMB120 and FMB130.

Thank you

Hello.

Accuracy of speed data depends on movement source. Movement source can be configured in a configurator.

CAN speed source being the most accurate as it captures data directly from vehicle.

And GNSS data being least accurate about the speed as it compares data between records to calculate speed of the vehicle, which can introduce some inaccuracies especially if driving in an area with poor connection.

You can read about it here https://wiki.teltonika-gps.com/view/FMB130_System_settings
