I could not find anything about this in the docs. Is there something I can use to determine the current device signal strength?

Hi,

There is a parameter in standard IO called GSM Signal, You will get the signal strength in the range of 0 -5.

You can send getstatus  sms command also for this purpose. Please see the below link.

Thanks in advance

Hi,

Dear Naveen,

Thanks, and please what is the mean of each level (0-5)?

maybe each level means the value of strength signal in dbm.

Thanks for your soon reply.

I have the same question: what is the mean of each level (0-5)?

Hello,

Thank you for your question.

  • The 0 value means that there is no signal.
  • The 1 and 2 values mean poor signal.
  • The 3 value means fine signal.
  • The 4 and 5 values mean an excellent signal.

Hope this information will be useful. Please do not hesitate to let us know if you will have more questions.

Kind Regards!
