Question

Good day

Am connecting a device similar to ALLCAN using RS232 port and Wialon platform, the thing is that device is not sending the correct data to the platform, Gurtam support is asking for transparent mode on device and, honestly, have no idea how to configure such thing, can you help me out with it? Thanks

Thank you for your query.

FMU 130 does not have RS-232 connection. Probably you are talking about FMU125 device? In configurator under rs232\rs485 select rs232 and use TCP ASCII mode (TCP link mode)might be this is the transparent mode that you need. This mode sends all information from external device to the server. Let me know if this mode is set at the right moment.

Hello Aurimas, am talking about fmu130, in the web of that device clearly shows parameter list for rs232 at the bottom of the web (https://wiki.teltonika.lt/view/FMU130_Parameter_list)  what about 5 and 6 cable? Doesn't work as rs232 input? If is not clearly the information on the web creates confusion and also I have wasted money in a useless device for the purpose that I need now.

Is there any interface that can be use to this purpose? If is not I'll sadly move to Queclink devices

Unfortunately there is no way to make FMU130 send data from external device. 

Please contact your Sales Manager/Distributor to get device replaced with correct model (FMU125) which has RS232/RS485 connection (Pin out).

This might confuse because this parameter list template is used on most of the devices. We will change this in order to not make any confusion in future.

Aurimas, first of all, thanks for your reply, months ago I was forced to work with teltonika devices and that's was difficult at the beginning but today I can say I love the product because works perfect for what I need so if teltonika de Chile can change the device will be awesome.... I'll let you know what's is the outcome of this project. Thanks again

Hello Aurimas, sadly Teltonika de Chile don't have stock of fmu125 and have no idea when will arrive a sample, they are offering me fmb640 but don't work for me, is 2G and also I need to do Integration on gurtam based on an specific tracking device, this force me to run on Queclink this telematics project because I can't wait for a month.
